TraderSync alternative

A TraderSync alternative, fairly compared.

TraderSync covers more brokers and more markets than we do, and it already does rule tracking. Here’s the honest comparison, including the parts where switching would be a downgrade.

Where TraderSync is the better choice.

TraderSync is a mature journal with genuinely wide coverage. Several of its advantages are ones we have no answer to, and pretending otherwise would make the rest of this page worthless.

Genuine TraderSync advantages

  • 01
Far wider broker and platform coverage, including MetaTrader 4. We sync MetaTrader 5 and nothing else. If you trade MT4, that decides it on its own.
  • 02
More asset classes. They publish stocks and options alongside forex, futures and crypto. We’re aimed at forex, futures, crypto and prop-firm trading.
  • 03
Rule tracking already exists there. Their strategy checklists and trading plans come with adherence reporting. This is not a gap we’re filling — it’s a feature we both have.
  • 04
CSV import and bulk history. Years of past trades can be brought in from a file. We import MT5 statements; anything else is manual.

Where TradingSocial differs

  • 01
Every trade records how it arrived — typed by hand, imported from a statement, or synced from a connected broker.
  • 02
The broker label can’t be self-awarded. It’s set by the system when the trade comes through a connected account, not chosen in a form.
  • 03
Built around a public record, not a private one. Profiles and a community are the default shape of the product rather than an export.
  • 04
Australian, priced in Australian dollars. No conversion, no surprises.
The difference that isn’t a feature

Same numbers. Different question.

Both products will sync your trades and tell you your win rate. Neither of us is going to win an argument about who calculates expectancy better. The difference is what happens when someone other than you needs to believe the output.

A self-reported journal

  • Auto-import is a convenience feature: it saves typing. Once the trade is in, it looks the same as one that was typed.
  • That’s fine while the journal is for you. It stops being fine the moment the record has an audience — a prop firm, a mentor, subscribers.

A journal that records origin

  • Every trade keeps a label saying how it got there, written by the system at the moment it was created.
  • You cannot mark your own trade as broker-synced. It earns that only by arriving through a connected account.
  • It’s a claim about provenance, not performance. It won’t make you a better trader — it makes the record of what you did checkable.

We describe TraderSync only from what they publish on their own site, read 31 August 2026. Capabilities change — check tradersync.com for their current feature set, and tell us if anything here is out of date.

Side by side

Capabilities, not scorecards.

No prices and no feature counts here on purpose — both change, and a stale number in a comparison table is just a wrong claim about someone else’s product. Where we can’t confirm something from their own material, the cell says so rather than guessing.

Honest recommendation

Which one you should actually use.

Choose TraderSync if

  • You trade MetaTrader 4, stocks or options. We don’t sync any of them.
  • You have years of history in a CSV and want it in on day one.
  • You want replay and simulation as part of the same tool.
  • Your journal is private and always will be. Provenance buys you nothing in that case.

Choose TradingSocial if

  • You trade MT5, and you want closed trades to appear without you touching them.
  • Your record will eventually be shown to someone who has every reason to be sceptical.
  • You want a public profile as the normal shape of the thing, not an export you have to produce.
  • You’d rather pay in Australian dollars.
Common questions

TraderSync alternative — frequently asked

QIs TradingSocial a TraderSync alternative?

For MetaTrader traders, yes. Both journal trades, sync from brokers, report on performance and track rule adherence. TraderSync covers far more brokers and more markets. We’re narrower, and differ in one respect they don’t publish: a system-set label on every trade recording how it arrived.

QDoes TraderSync support MT4 and MT5?

Yes — both, among a large published list of brokers and platforms, alongside CSV import. We sync MetaTrader 5 only and import MT5 statements. If you trade MT4, they cover you and we don’t.

QBoth track trading rules. What’s different?

Very little in principle, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. They publish strategy checklists and trading plans with adherence reporting; we give you six rules you set and are scored against. Pick on whether you’d rather design a checklist or take a fixed set of rules with a visible cost for breaking them.

QWhat can TradingSocial do that TraderSync doesn’t publish?

A per-trade provenance label. Every trade records whether it was typed manually, imported from a statement, or synced from a connected broker — and the broker label is set by the system, not chosen by the trader.

QWhich markets does TradingSocial cover?

Journaling works for anything you can log, and the product is aimed at forex, futures, crypto and prop-firm trading. TraderSync additionally publishes stocks and options. If you trade equities or options, that’s a real reason to choose them.

QCan I try both?

Yes. Ours is 14 days of Pro with no card. Run them over the same fortnight of trading and keep whichever one you actually open after a losing day.

Run them side by side for a fortnight.

Fourteen days of Pro, no card. If TraderSync fits how you trade better, we’d rather you found out now than in month three.
