Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of TradingSocial. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use TradingSocial.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use TradingSocial.
2. The service is not financial advice
TradingSocial is an education and performance-tracking platform. It does not provide financial, investment or trading advice. Please read our Financial & Risk Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login credentials secure, and all activity under your account. You may hold one account unless we agree otherwise. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use TradingSocial for any unlawful purpose or to post unlawful, misleading, harassing or abusive content.
- Do not attempt to manipulate leaderboards, rankings, or social features.
- Do not scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the platform, or interfere with its operation or security.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create (journals, posts, comments). You grant TradingSocial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display your content as needed to operate the platform, including showing content you choose to share with other users. You are responsible for the content you post and for ensuring you have the right to share it.
6. Our intellectual property
TradingSocial, its name, logo, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to them except as needed to use the platform.
7. Plans, prices and payment
TradingSocial has one free plan and two paid plans, Trader and Pro Trader. The Free plan is free forever and needs no payment details. The paid plans can be bought monthly or annually.
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). The current prices are always the ones shown on our pricing page and in Settings → Billing inside the app. At the date of these terms they are:
- Trader — A$30 per month, or A$300 per year.
- Pro Trader — A$50 per month, or A$500 per year.
We sometimes run a founding-member offer that discounts the first annual invoice — currently A$72 for Trader and A$120 for Pro Trader. A promotional price applies to your first billing period only. After that, your subscription renews at the standard annual price shown above.
Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year — until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your current plan, its price and its next renewal date are shown in Settings → Billing.
Prices can change. If a change would increase what you pay, section 15 applies: we will give you notice before it takes effect and you can cancel first.
8. Your 14-day Pro trial
Every new account gets 14 days of Pro Trader features, free. This trial is exactly what it sounds like:
- No payment details are required — we do not ask for a card and we do not create a subscription or any other billing record for it.
- It does not convert into a paid subscription. Nothing is ever charged, because there is nothing to charge.
- When the 14 days end, your account simply moves to the Free plan and the Pro-only features close. Nothing you have logged is deleted, though the Free plan only shows your most recent 30 trades until you subscribe. You can subscribe at any time, before or after the trial ends.
The one exception is our referral reward. If you claim free months of Pro that you have earned by referring other traders, that reward is set up as a subscription: we ask for a payment method, nothing is charged during your free months, and when the free months end the subscription renews automatically at the Pro Trader monthly price of A$50 per month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time during the free period and you will not be charged.
9. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time yourself, without contacting us. Go to Settings → Billing and choose Manage billing & invoices, which opens the secure Stripe billing portal for your account. You can also update your payment method there.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep your paid features until that date, and you are not charged again. We do not cut your access off the moment you cancel.
Two things worth knowing:
- Deleting your TradingSocial account cancels your subscription immediately. It is not the same as cancelling. When you delete your account we cancel any active subscription straight away and detach your card, so nothing further can be charged — but because the cancellation is immediate rather than at the end of the period, you lose the remainder of the period you have already paid for, and it is not refunded (see section 11). If you want the time you have paid for, cancel in Settings → Billing and delete your account once the period has ended.
- If you cannot reach the billing portal for any reason, email us at onetradingsocial@gmail.com and we will cancel the subscription for you.
10. If a payment fails
If a renewal payment does not go through — an expired card, a bank hold, insufficient funds — Stripe will retry it according to its normal schedule. While a payment is outstanding your subscription is marked past due, and access to paid features may be unavailable until the payment succeeds. Updating your card in the billing portal is usually enough to restore it. If the payment is never made, the subscription is cancelled.
11. Refunds
Paid plans are charged in advance and you keep full access for the whole period you have paid for, so we do not offer refunds for a change of mind — including for part of a period you have already started, or for a period you did not get around to using.
This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in this section is intended to. If TradingSocial is not supplied with due care and skill, is not fit for the purpose we have described, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy — and where the failure is a major one, that can include cancelling and getting your money back. Section 13 sets this out. If you think something has gone wrong, email us at onetradingsocial@gmail.com and we will work it out with you.
We also refund the unused part of a period in the two situations described in sections 12 and 15 — if we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, and if you cancel because we have changed something to your disadvantage.
12. Suspension and closure of a paid account
Section 3 lets us suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. If we do that to an account with a paid subscription, we may also cancel the subscription. Where we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault — for example because we stop offering the service — we will refund the unused portion of the period you have paid for. Where the closure is because of a serious breach by you, we will still refund the unused portion, less any amount you genuinely owe us. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law, TradingSocial is not liable for any loss or damage (including trading losses) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the platform.
15. Changes to the service or terms
We may change the platform and these terms from time to time — to add or improve features, to reflect how the service actually works, or to comply with the law. We will always update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
If a change increases the price of a paid plan, or otherwise materially and adversely affects you as a paying subscriber, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not want to continue on the new terms, you can cancel before the change takes effect and we will refund the unused portion of the period you have already paid for. Changes that do not disadvantage you — new features, clarifications, changes we are required by law to make — take effect when we publish them.
Continuing to use TradingSocial after a change has taken effect means you accept the updated terms. Earlier versions of these terms are available on request.
August 2026 update: added our plans, prices and currency, the terms of the 14-day Pro trial and the referral reward, auto-renewal, cancellation, failed payments, refunds, and suspension of a paid account; and replaced the previous change-of-terms clause with the notice and cancellation rights above. Section 9 was corrected: deleting your account now cancels an active subscription immediately, where previously it did not cancel it at all.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
